I promise I will post some more pictures soon. Soon is a rather ambiguous word, isn't it? ;) I like it It's reassuring without making a commitment.
Gilbert is sick. He is all cogested and wheezy, and it is sad.
I have a new strategy when Ashton asks me millions of unceasing questions. When I feel that my head will explode if he asks me another one, I answer in German. This gives me a few seconds, while he processes what it is I've just said. Of course he then asks the question again, but he does that when I answer in English as well. Usually faster. Or moves with lightening speed to a new question. Why bother answering when a simple "ich weiss es nicht" buys me five precious seconds of quiet time. Of course, I have to vary it a little. Throw in a "nein, du kannst nicht," or a "Du kannst nicht alles haben." It's working for now.
Speaking of German, I've been trying to improve my very limited skills while I'm at work. I was trying to find a list of prepositional phrases, because German ones really don't make much sense to me. During my search I came across this awesome article by Mark Twain. It is called "The Awful German Language." Here is a link, for anyone who has struggled with German. It is very funny:
http://www.crossmyt.com/hc/linghebr/awfgrmlg.html It helped me to relive my bitter feelings towards prepositions. Here is a choice sentence: "Every time I think I have got one of these four confusing "cases" where I am master of it, a seemingly insignificant preposition intrudes itself into my sentence, clothed with an awful and unsuspected power, and crumbles the ground from under me." Haha. This said, I love German, and enjoy learning it. Most of the time. It's such a lovely expressive language. And you can't get anway with speaking it lazily. You have to open your mouth. I decided that for now I will concentrate on my vocabulary, which is sadly lacking.

How do you say, "you go girl" in German? I might as well tell people I have never studied a second language in my life (after 6 years of French, a fluent-in-French hubby, and a real live French sister-in-law, with bi-lingual children and all...there are few things that intimidate me more than hearing their perfect little accents at age 2 or 3...sigh.)
Well, at least you are practicing Germen. I practice playing Zelda. I'm getting pretty good at it too. :)
